Holiday Gift List, Part One We have gift ideas for every type of person in your life, from dear old dad to the fashionista on your list. |
For the Father Figure
The Pima cotton shirt is the perfect gift for dads. These shirts are dressy enough for any restaurant or business meeting in town, yet casual enough for raking leaves on the weekend. Using 100% organic cotton, the Pima cotton shirt's classic fit, colors and very soft hand have made it a staple for Patagonia. |
For the Weekend Warrior
In winter, Patagonia's capilene long underwear is an essential first layer for all weekend adventures. Patagonia set the standard for long underwear 25 years ago and they have continuously improved upon a great thing. It has been redesigned in 2010 to be loftier, lighter, to fit better and (here's a bonus for wives and girlfriends everywhere) to smell better after a sweaty workout. Patagonia's capilene comes in four weights and multiple styles for men and women. We have more of the good stuff than anyone in Bend. Try us. |
For the Betty The total betty needs a gift as cute as she is. Our pick: the Down With It plaid vest. Whether she wears it after a ski day at the mountain or over a skirt for a fun day with friends, this vest will warm her right up! |
For your most Finicky Friend We currently have a full range of new colors and sizes in stock. Every year, these jackets sell out early so call or stop by soon if you want the best selection. |
For the Ultra Athlete
We live in Bend so we all know at least one. Just as we're settling into the couch, they're headed out for another trek/run/ski... again. The ultra athlete needs a jacket that lives up to their energizer-bunny ways. The Traverse Jacket is the perfect piece for biking up Phil's trail, hitting the cross country ski trails at Virginia Meissner and going for a winter run out at the Badlands... all in one day. The dependable Traverse Jacket is Patagonia's lightest, most breathable soft shell, with wind resistance, 4-way stretch for unrestricted movement and a Deluge® DWR (durable water repellent) finish to resist wet weather. Comes in Men's and Women's styles. |
For the Workaholic
The MiniMass offers padded compartments, organizational sleeves and a zip pocket in front for quick-grab essentials. The clean, adjustable shoulder strap and reflective strip make this the perfect bag for bicycle commuting. |
For the Fashionista She can wear it with style over jeans or a cocktail dress. The Fiona Parka is the perfect gift for those who want warmth without sacrificing a good look. An exceedingly feminine, urban, ultralight, long down coat, the Fiona Parka stands up to ruthless winter conditions with the same hardiness as Patagonia's most technical alpine garments. |

For your Mini-Me The Tribble Jacket is reversible with a durable water-resistant shell on one side and furry high-pile fleece on the other, plus a soft layer of 100-g Thermogreen® polyester between the two layers for warm, low-bulk insulation. This is the jacket to keep your little guy warm and adorable during La Nina. |
For the Tough Guy The truth about men? They have underpants envy. Why do women always get the good stuff? Not here. Patagonia's silky Capilene boxers will make him want to wear his underpants and nothing else... we're not sure if that's a good thing, but we know he'll like this gift. |
For your True Love Want to show her that you really love her? The Primo Down Jacket is Patagonia's top-of-the-line ski jacket. If she gets cold on the hill, this jacket will keep her warm without the bulk of several layers. The Primo Down Jacket has a built in 700-fill down lining, a 3-layer waterproof shell, 2 way stretch and a streamlined look and feel. One reviewer said, "I am a National Ski Patroller located in Western NY and wanted a jacket that I could use for general skiing, hiking and pleasure that would keep me warm and dry in the coldest, nastiest conditions without the bulk (and still look "trendy"). I've found that this jacket is SUPERB for temperatures at or below 35 degrees....I've had this jacket in minus 25 degrees in the Adirondack Mountains with 30 MPH winds, and was comfortable without ANY additional layers other than midweight thermals. The wind & warmth protection is UNSURPASSED. The ZIP pits also provides needed flexibility in changing conditions. You can't find a better NASTY weather jacket....period! Worth EVERY nickel...this coat will last me & you a lifetime! Tired of being cold & wet, BUY this coat!" (Available in men's and women's styles.) |
For Assorted Others The Patagonia Trucker Hat, the Patagonia Beanie, Tech Web Belts and Lightweight Glove Liners are slam dunk gifts for everyone on your list... |

We've had a few questions about our name change so we thought we'd give you the straight scoop in case you would like to read about the history of our store.
Patagonia @ Bend was opened as Pandora's Backpack in May, 2003 by Rod and Katie Bien. At the time, the store was a mountain sports store that carried a variety of brands. We were always most excited about Patagonia's product though, so in the Fall of 2005, we became a "Patagonia concept shop." There are only a few Patagonia concept shops in the country. A "concept shop" means that we are still privately owned and run, but we carry exclusively Patagonia product and try to showcase the Patagonia line.
We changed names this year to Patagonia @ Bend in order to reflect our status as a concept shop more accurately and to have a name that is similar to the other Patagonia concept shops around the country. We are still owned by Rod and Katie Bien; we just changed our name.
We feel lucky for our relationship with Patagonia and are committed to the brand. Patagonia, as a company, embodies philosophies that we believe in: environmental consciousness, customer satisfaction, a lifetime warranty and making very high quality products that protect you so that you can feel comfortable enjoying outdoor activities.
We are still and have always been locally owned and operated. We thank you for your support.
